We’re looking for a few volunteers to provide one-on-one or small-group support for students who may need extra help or thrive better in small groups or 1:1.   If students who need this support aren't there, volunteers will be reassigned to other activities.

Literacy Volunteer Activities (Grades PreK–8) Lessons will be provided and may include  1. Vocabulary Building - Introduce new words through games, stories, and conversations. 2. Reading Support - Read one-on-one or in small groups with students at their level. 3. Writing Development - Guide students in writing stories, journals, letters, or poems, and express themselves creatively. 4. Literacy Enrichment Games & Activities - Play word games like Scrabble Junior, Boggle, or bingo. 5. Building Confidence & Encouragement

Play with the younger children while introducing them to different textiles, developing their fine motor skills, and celebrating their curiosities indoors and out.

This volunteer will be in charge of leading a small group of kids throughout the day through their stations. Volunteers in this role must attend summer camp training on safety protocols to sign up for this role.
